We Bring Matching Ice Chests to Every Event So Your Bar Looks the Part

One of the first things you will notice when you compare Boomtown to other labor-only bartending crews: matching ice chests come standard in your quote. Not an add-on. Not optional. Included.

It sounds like a small thing. For your event, it is not.

The Bar Photo Problem

At any event where people are taking photos, and that is every event, your bar is one of the most photographed spots in the room. Guests pose with their drinks. Your photographer catches candids there. The cocktail close-ups your friends post show your bar setup right in the background.

Now picture two versions of that background:

  • Version A: mismatched coolers, a dented white Styrofoam, a faded red Igloo from someone's garage, plastic bags of ice melting on the ground.
  • Version B: matching professional ice chests, a clean station, an organized backbar, and not a trash bag in sight.

Your guests register the difference instantly, even if they could not put it into words. Version A says "we figured it out day-of." Version B says "this was planned." We want your photos to say the second one.

It Is Really About Control of the Details

Including ice chests in your quote is not about the coolers. It is about what they stand for: we do not leave the look of your bar to chance. When we control the ice chests, we control the presentation. When we control the presentation, we control how your guests experience the bar. That is how we deliver on what we promised you.

The alternative, asking you to bring your own coolers, hands you a variable we cannot manage. And uncontrolled variables at events tend to drift toward chaos. We would rather carry that for you.

The Clean Bar Standard

"We keep our bar area clean and tidy all night long," says Bar-Key founder Patrick Wilson. "When guests take photos around the bar, the last thing they should see in the background is trash or clutter. Our bars stay clean."

Matching ice chests are part of that clean bar standard. So is the organized backbar, the trash management, and the rolling ice chest your barback uses for quiet, seamless ice runs all night. Every piece of equipment we bring does two jobs at once: it works, and it looks the part in your photos.

What It Costs, and What It Saves You

The matching ice chests themselves come standard, no rental, no add-on. The ice that fills them is your call: you can supply your own (kept in your coolers back-of-house, out of sight, while we transfer it into our visible chests) or add it on through us for a simple $0.75 per guest. Either way, including the chests erases a whole stack of questions you would otherwise have to answer: "Do I need to rent coolers? How many? What size? Where do I even get them?" Those questions disappear. One less thing to coordinate, one less thing that can go wrong on your day.

For you, it is convenience. For us, it is control. For your guests, it is a bar that looks like it belongs at your event instead of one pieced together from whatever was lying around.

"The last thing we want is for a client to have to use dirty garage coolers that undercut the look of their bar," Patrick explains. That one sentence captures how we work: if a detail could undercut your event, we handle it for you. Ice chests, clean stations, matching equipment. To us, each of those is a standard, not an option.

Ready when you are.

Tell us about your event and we will take it from there.
