Everything We Bring to Your Bar (All Included)
A professional bar is not a folding table with bottles on it. It is a labor-only crew that shows up with the full toolkit, works fast and clean, and keeps your bar looking sharp in your photos. Here is everything that arrives with your crew.
What We Bring vs. What Pipe It Up Rents
Boomtown is a labor-only crew, so what rolls off our truck is the bartender toolkit (everything in the next section) and our matching ice chests. The bar setup itself, the portable bar stations, bar mats, speed rails, garnish trays, and menu boards, is part of the bar rental package (starting around $250) through our sister company Pipe It Up, along with the bar facade, glassware, and decor. Your drink menu is chosen by you with our guidance, so it always reflects exactly what you want to serve.
The Tools Behind the Bar
- Cocktail shakers: Boston shakers for volume and cobbler shakers for service, enough for every bartender plus spares
- Jiggers: measured pours that keep your drinks consistent and protect your alcohol budget
- Strainers: Hawthorne and fine-mesh strainers for clean pours
- Muddlers: for mojitos, old fashioneds, and anything that needs fresh herb or fruit
- Bar spoons: for stirred and layered drinks
- Speed pourers: for fast, splash-free pours on high-volume bottles
- Bottle openers and wine keys: several, because nobody should be hunting for one mid-rush
- Cutting boards and knives: for fresh citrus prep right at your bar
- Citrus press or juicer: fresh juice makes a real difference your guests can taste
Ice and Cooling
- Ice chests: commercial-grade, matching, rolling coolers for ice storage and chilling bottles, so you are never stuck using a mismatched cooler from the garage
- Ice scoops: never hands in the ice, a food-safety standard we hold to
The ice chests are always part of your setup. The ice itself is a simple add-on at $0.75 per guest, and we stage and replenish it all night so service never slows down.
Glassware (Through Pipe It Up)
Boomtown is a labor-only crew, so we don't carry rental glassware on our truck. Real glassware, when you want it, comes through our sister company, Pipe It Up, which handles glassware, bar rentals, decor, and linens. Tell us the look you're after and we'll set it up:
- Rocks glasses: for spirit-forward cocktails and whiskey
- Highball glasses: for mixed drinks, ranch waters, and tall cocktails
- Wine glasses: stemmed or stemless to suit your event
- Champagne flutes: for toasts and sparkling cocktails
- Specialty options: copper mugs for mules, coupe glasses for up cocktails (available with advance notice)
For outdoor events where real glass might be risky or not allowed, disposable cups go right on the shopping list we build for you. You can book glassware rentals at book.pipeitupevents.com.
Mixers and Garnishes (On Your Shopping List)
Here is where labor-only really works in your favor: you buy the alcohol, mixers, and garnishes yourself, with no markup from us, and we build the exact shopping list so you never overbuy. Your bartenders prep it all fresh at the bar:
- Fresh citrus: lemons, limes, and oranges, cut fresh at your bar
- Fresh herbs: mint, rosemary, and basil as your menu calls for them
- Soda and tonic: club soda, tonic water, ginger beer, cola, and lemon-lime
- Fresh juices: lime, lemon, and grapefruit, squeezed on-site or brought fresh
- Syrups: simple syrup plus any specialty syrups your menu needs
- Bitters: Angostura, orange, and any specialty bitters for your drinks
For a typical 100-guest, 4-hour event, that whole alcohol and mixer run usually lands around $500 to $600 (roughly $5 to $6 per guest) when you follow our shopping guide, and we point you to the stores with the best prices: Byron's, Total Wine, George's, or Liquor Barn for liquor, and Walmart, Sam's Club, or Costco for beer and wine.
Service and Safety
- Towels and rags: clean service means a clean bar all night
- Trash and recycling: dedicated bins behind the bar, emptied throughout service
- First aid kit: standard behind every bar
- Certificate of Insurance: available for your venue on request
The bartender toolkit, ice chests, and service gear above are part of your Boomtown labor, with no surprise "equipment rental" line for the toolkit. You handle the alcohol, mixers, and garnishes on the shopping list we build, ice is a small per-guest add-on, and the bar setup, stations, glassware, and decor come through Pipe It Up's rental package. Everything is spelled out upfront.
Why It All Comes Standard
"We keep our bar area clean and tidy from setup through breakdown," says Bar-Key founder Patrick Wilson. "When guests photograph the bar, that background should look as good as the drinks in their hands."
This kit is about more than making drinks. It keeps your bar looking professional from setup through breakdown: matching ice chests, a tidy work surface, an organized toolkit. Every piece does a job and looks good doing it, so your bar is a place your guests want to stand near.
Ready when you are.
